I’m just about breaking all the blogger rules right now.
Update Consistently, Downplay your absence.
Why? I didn’t feel like it, I didn’t do it. I had myself a splendid time on the town (well, in my house.) But the important part is, I didn’t blog because I didn’t want to! Forget the rules of blogging, I followed the rule of living a good life: have fun and do what you want! Also, it’s a little hard to downplay a two-week absence
Are there any consequences?
Well.. maybe if I had anything going to begin with. Some audience to be committed to or any pressing matters that needed updating. But no. My blog is too young and has a very low, if any pull so the fact that I went 2 weeks with no word really only affected me.
Will I be able to recover?
Of course, 100% Why? Because there wasn’t anything too terribly damaging about what I’ve done. Really my blog is still a baby, so it’s like I’ve just prolonged it’s growth a little. Most of what I write now is really just archive material. I’ll start expanding eventually, which involves tedious networking or a flood of cash into programs like AdSense.
The truth behind it?
I’m going to blog when I want to, how I want to, and where I want to. What will this do for my career as a blogger? Probably help it. I can only go so far as I take myself and there is no riding on the wings of another’s success. So I’ll stick to my guns and you will get to see some more of -me-.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
